Experts Training Abroad Program for Overseas Native Chinese Language Teachers

In order to improve teaching skills and quality of native Chinese language teachers, and promote the cooperation and exchange between China and other countries in Chinese language teaching, Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban sets up Experts Training Abroad Program for Overseas Native Chinese Language Teachers.

I. Application Requirements

A. The program is open to all native Chinese language teachers of Confucius Institutes, local universities, elementary and secondary schools and other educational institutions.

B. In principle, each class should have no less than 30 participants.

II. Application Process

A. Fill in “Requirements Form for Experts Training Abroad Program for Overseas Native Chinese Language Teachers”. Confucius Institutes submit it to the Division of Teachers directly, other mainstream Chinese teaching institutions should submit through the Education/Culture Department (Group) of Chinese Embassy (Consulate).

B. Experts could be recommended by the application institutes from the Expert Database of Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban, domestic partner-universities or local qualified Chinese teaching experts, or could be appointed by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban directly.

C. Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban will review and approve the applications. Once get feedback, Confucius Institute could contact experts to send the invitation letter and discuss details of training.

IV. Funding

Fees of round-trip tickets, visa application, insurance, accommodation and training lectures of experts will be provided by Confucius Institute Headquarters/ Hanban.
