Madam President Liu Xin Wins St. Stephen's Award for Her Contribution in the Establishment and Operation of Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka

RS (short for Republika Srpska) Minister of Science and Technology Alen Seranic and RS Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation Zlatan Klokic visited together with the Adviser to the RS President Nina Sajic and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Banja Luka University on 16th July 2018 the University of Technology and Education in Tianjin. At the meeting with the representatives of the University, organized in cooperation with the Confucius Institute at Banja Luka University, the Rector of the University of Technology and Education in Tianjin Liu Xin was delivered the St. Stephen’s Award on behalf of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik as an expression of gratitude for her outstanding contribution in the establishment of the Confucius Institute at Banja Luka University.

Madam President Liu Xin and Vice President Yan Bing attended the meeting with the delegation to negotiate on promoting the development of the Confucius Institute. Ms Liu Xin showed her appreciation for the support and help to the Confucius Institute from the President Milorad Dodik and other related departments of the Republika Srpska and showed her wish to ask Special Envoy Nina to convey their thanks and regards to President Milorad Dodik.Special Envoy Nina Sajic spoke highly of the various Chinese language courses and cultural activities that have been held since the launching ceremony of the Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka. She believes that the Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka would continue to play an important role in cooperation and exchanges between the Republika Srpska and China.

Ms Sajic emphasized the importance of the Confucius Institute at Banja Luka University for the Republika Srpska and she spoke highly of the various Chinese language courses and cultural events it has been organizing. She believes that this Institute will continue to have a significant role in cooperation between the Republika Srpska and China.

Visiting Engineering Training Center

After the meeting, accompanied by Vice President Yan Bing and other members, the delegation visited the Engineering Training Center, the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School History Museum, and an introduction on the characteristics of the school was given to the delegation.
