Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli and Sudanese Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh Receive Zhao Zhixing, Annual Champion of “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students

On August 25th local time, when visiting Sudan, Zhang Gaoli, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of China, and Bakri Hassan Saleh, First Vice President and Prime Minister of Sudan, received Zhao Zhixing (Mohammed Elmoiez Mohammed Suliman Hussain), the annual championship of “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students. Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli presented Zhao Zhixing with a complete set of Chinese learning materials Developing Chinese, encouraging him to continue to learn Chinese and knowledge of Chinese culture.

Zhao Zhixing is the first African contestant to win the championship in the 16-year history of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, which has caused great repercussions in all circles of the society. In the interviews with several Sudanese media, Zhao Zhixing thanked the Confucius Institute at the University of Khartoum and all the teachers of the Department of Chinese. He promised to live up to the earnest expectations of the leaders of the two countries and strive to improve his Chinese proficiency. After graduation, he will further his postgraduate study in China next year and to be a messenger of the friendship between Africa and China.
