Channel for Public

The core target users of the channel are young people. It covers language, culture, humanity and social science of contemporary Chinese society and culture by providing a large amount of digital resources such as e-Books, periodicals, newspapers, audio products, pictures, music and videos.

Resources:

The Channel for Public includes 33810 e-Books of literature, biography, economy, management, humanity, social sciences, arts, health, language study, history, geography, natural science, industrial technology, agriculture, medicine, and education.

The channel provides 114947 pictures of contemporary photography, fine arts, archeology, ancient design, historical clothing, folk arts, calligraphy, classical Chinese painting, and original illustrations from ancient Chinese books.

There are 30 newspapers, including the People’s Daily, Global Times, Southern Weekend, and China Business News, etc.

There are 39 periodicals including China Pictorial, Life Week, People Week, Readers, etc.

The Channel for Kids provides digital resources such as classical fairytales, picture books, nursery rhymes, animations, and games for kids, which provides interactive functions such as click-and-read, voice recording, and replaying.

Channel for Learners

The Channel for Learners is specifically designed for Chinese language learners, including rich digital resources of textbooks, dictionaries and reference books. It provides personalized solutions to learners with different Chinese language levels and native languages.

Channel for Sinologists

The Channel for Sinologists provides digital resources of e-Books, reference books, academic journals, and periodicals. Sinologists can retrieve the integrated information conveniently with the function of advanced search and full text search.

The Chinese/English version can be switched on the Navigation page or Resource introduction page. The Instant Translation function has been embedded in categories such as e-Books, newspapers and periodicals, supporting full-text automatic translation for the convenience of users of different Chinese language levels.

Real-voice reading and text scrolling are available with the audio products, and the full-text vocal reading function is available in e-Books, newspapers and periodicals, so that users may master accurate Chinese pronunciation.
